I am someone who normally wants everything thing as pure and organic as possible, but for this, I make an exception. I had the keratin smoothing treatment done last year (prior to the recent controversial information that has emerged) and I purchased only the shampoo at the time. I was fairly pleased with the results. Well, after a few months the keratin treatment had worn off and I was faced with a bit more time blowing and straightening and not quite getting that pretty sleek look that I had after the treatment. I was out of my shampoo, so I decided to purchase the set of shampoo and conditioner and see how my hair responded just to those alone. Needless to say, I don't think I need to spend another $300 plus on the smoothing treatment any time soon. I am not saying you get the same results with the set here, but it is so darn close that for me, the cost and potential harm, is not at all worth the marginal increase in results from the full treatment.
